Position Summary
Canon Cameroon is looking to appoint a Channel Account Manager who will serve as Canon’s key representative at the Tier-2 level across all channels. This role entails developing and managing relationships with resellers (Tier-2 partners) who source Canon products through authorized distributors (Tier-1 partners). The successful candidate will be responsible for driving channel penetration, generating demand, increasing brand visibility, and reinforcing Canon’s market presence and share (MASH) in Cameroon.
To support its growing service requirements, Canon Cameroon is recruiting a Channel Account Manager to strengthen its presence across the Cameroonian market.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market mapping and maintain a clear understanding of channels, accounts, and competitor landscape.

Develop and strengthen business relationships with key stakeholders within Tier-2 partner organizations.

Promote Canon products effectively through established Tier-2 connections.

Deliver product training sessions to Tier-2 sales staff and in-store merchandisers.

Plan and execute demand-generation initiatives such as events, seminars, and local activations.

Develop a marketing activity calendar in collaboration with the Country Manager and Tier-1 distributor.

Coordinate with local marketing agencies to implement approved campaigns in accordance with Canon’s corporate and brand guidelines.

Monitor the execution of Canon’s Channel Partner Program and ensure timely sell-out reporting.

Improve Canon’s in-store presence through enhanced point-of-sale materials, signage, and product displays.

Assist Product Managers and Business Development Managers in organizing product launches and other promotional events.
Qualifications and Experience

University degree or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable sales or channel management role within an international or regional organization, distributor, or trading company.

In-depth understanding of local market dynamics and the distribution ecosystem.

Proficiency in English and a local language, both written and spoken.

Competence in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
