- Position: Assistant Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager
Position Overview
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a key role in supporting all aspects of Housekeeping and Laundry operations, ensuring service excellence in line with Hilton’s brand standards. This position involves supervising daily activities, assisting in team development, and maintaining a pristine and welcoming environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Assist in managing Housekeeping and Laundry operations, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, order, and guest satisfaction.
- Support the Executive Housekeeper in enforcing brand standards, health and safety regulations, and security protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, promptly reporting and addressing any issues.
Budget and Resource Management
- Help control departmental budgets by monitoring inventory, optimizing stock usage, and managing schedules effectively.
- Contribute to meeting operational targets while maintaining cost efficiency.
Team Leadership and Development
- Monitor staff performance, appearance, and adherence to standards, emphasizing teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Deliver ongoing training to ensure up-to-date knowledge of room categories, amenities, and procedures.
- Maintain clear communication and strong working relationships across departments, with suppliers, and with external partners.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels aligned with business needs.
- Act as deputy in the Executive Housekeeper’s absence.
Guest Experience
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional service.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support other departments as required to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in housekeeping or laundry operations within hospitality, leisure, or retail, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven cost-control skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure with flexibility to adapt to varied situations.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation.
- Solid knowledge of workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Property Management Systems.
- Experience managing departmental budgets and P&L accounts.
- Advanced IT skills.
- Fluency in both French and English.
