CONTEXT
About Good Neighbors:
Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and Development international Korean NGO founded in Seoul in March 1991. It is present in 51 countries around the world and aims to make the world a better, hunger-free place, where people live together in harmony. It focuses on Community development to protect children’s rights and encourage community autonomy.
Good Neighbors started its operations in Cameroon since 2014. It has a head Office is in Yaoundé and field Offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo. Good Neighbors Cameroon’s (GNCMR) work is focused on community development, implementing projects in the sectors of Health (control of schistosomiasis and soil transmitted helminthiasis, nutrition), Child Protection, livelihood (Income Generation Activities), food security, Education, Water and Sanitation hygiene and Environment. GNCMR works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges.
RATIONAL
In the past years, the Neglected tropical diseases department of Good Neighbors Cameroon has been implementing deworming campaigns in the center region of Cameroon, working in close collaboration with the National program for the fight of schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminthiasis (PNLSHI) and other ministries such as MINEDUB and MINESEC for the deworming of school-aged children in school milieu. The data obtained from this mass deworming is stored in the DHIS2 platform.
To ensure accessibility and visibility of DHIS2 relating to the deworming conducted each year, it is important that the capacity of staff be enhanced.
I. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
- From the above background, Good Neighbors Cameroon is seeking the services of a DHIS2 expert Consultant to build the capacity of its staff in relation to but not limited to the exploitation and analysis of data for the deworming campaign on DHIS2. This will help the organization to have at all times; up-to date data for results-driven decisions. The consultant will specifically:
- Equip GNCMR staff with the knowledge and skills relating to DHIS2 data extraction.
- Equip GNCMR staff with the knowledge and skills relating to DHIS2 data analysis and interpretation.
The Consultant may decide to work with a collaborator or assistants to facilitate her work (This collaborator or assistant is NOT the responsibility of Good Neighbors Cameroon).
Good Neighbors Cameroon is responsible for;
- Ensuring access to project information required by the Consultant to facilitate their training
- General logistics including location and refreshment during the training session
- Ensuring follow-up of the Consultation
II. DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT
- The Consultant will equip at least twenty (20) GNCMR staff with the skills and knowledge to extract, analyze and interpret data, particularly deworming data.
- The training session should be interactive, engaging, practical and participatory including hands on exercises, group discussions and real-life examples to ensure that staff apply the skills effectively. The Consultant is also expected to administer pre and post test questionnaires to measure the impact of the training sessions on participants’ knowledge and skills.

- Generally, the Consultant will be expected to cover the following topics:
These topics are specifically but not limited to;
- DHIS2 Software Overview
- Experience with DHIS2 for deworming Campaign Data Management
- Roles and Responsibilities of the Stakeholders Involved in Campaign Data Management
- Form Completion and Data Entry in DHIS2
- Data Quality Control
- Campaign Data Analysis
- Campaign Data Monitoring Dashboard
- Aggregate data capture fundamentals
- Aggregate data analysis
- Customize and share charts, graphs and dashboards to influence decision-making
- NB: Any other relevant topics might be added by the Consultant
III. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
- Improved staff understanding of the DHIS2 platform
- Improved staff capacity on DHIS2 data extraction, analysis and interpretation
- Improved knowledge on how to identify gaps in data input on the DHIS2 platform
IV. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in successfully facilitating DHIS2 training sessions with other organizations, preferably INGOs or national health information systems.
- At least 5 years of proven experience on DHIS2 facilitation.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences.
- Fluency in English and French language is required.
- Experience in evaluating training effectiveness and making improvements as needed.

VI. REPORTING
1. The Consultant is expected to produce the report of the Consultancy no later than one week after the Consultancy
