The drilling Operations Trainee works under the close supervision of the supervisor. S/he maximizes his/ her learning experience as per the training program defined by the company. S/he assists the entire team, works with some equipment, and occasionally operates them.

Main Mission/Result Area

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Participate in the various operations on the rig as per tasks assign according to the training program such as but not limited to:

• Clean up spilled oil by bailing it into
• Keep equipment clean and in good
• Unscrew or tighten pipes, casing, tubing, and pump rods, using hand, pipe wrenches and power tongs.
• Prepare the tubing
• Keep pipe deck and main deck area clean and tidy.
• Manually handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
• Regularly inspect equipment, structures, or materials and notify supervisors of abnormal situations.

• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs such as climbing, lifting, baIancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

• Help the operator to perform inventory of the equipment, spare parts.

Participate in an online training program proposed by the company and demonstrate progress in learning

• Understand and be able to implement the company’s policies, procedures and Fill incident reporting card, regularly.

HSSE Accountabilities

• Participate in all HSSE intervention schemes (HSSE Reporting cards, Incident reporting, site visits) and awareness sessions (HSSE Meetings, events and trainings) to maintain and improve Company HSSE and performance.
• Understand the emergency procedure and the related requirement.
• Lead as a role model to improve on HSSE engagement within direct team, section, and departments.

The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned

Competence & Requirements

• Sc. In any Engineering or Technical field (Drilling, Maintenance, Mechanical. Electrical )

• Not more than 5 years of working experience.
• The BOSIET certification offers an advantage.
• Proficient with MS office (Excel, Word, Power point…)
• Good command in communication skills (listening, writing, and reading) both French and English.
